1.         SERMON RECAP

(Visit  pmc.org.sg  to listen to the sermon and download a copy of the Powerpoint slides)

A High IQ Christian:

>  Is aware that conditions for Christ’s second coming may be fulfilled in a short amount of time (Romans 13:11-12a).

>  Believes that behaviour is the currency of eternal impact (Romans 13:12b).

Application:

>  Live, as if, in the presence of witnesses (Romans 13:13).

>  Live to please the Lord (Romans 13:14).

2.         LIVE IT OUT

a.       It has been many years since the term "WWJD" was coined in the Christian community.  "WWJD" stands for "What Would Jesus Do?" and serves both as a reminder to watch our daily living and behavior, as well as to "put on" Christ wherever we are.

> Share with the group one area in which you find it tough to do as Jesus would do.

> What is one small step you could take in the coming week to increase your obedience?

> Pray for one another.

b.      What are some implications for you that “Christ’s second coming may be fulfilled in a short amount of time”?

> Revisit your plans for the next few weeks/months and share how you might change some of your plans in the light of this truth.

c.       “Brethren, are we sleeping … ?

> Rate yourself for the following points between 1 to 5

(1 = “Yes, that’s where I am now”;

5 = “No, my heart is zealous for God right now”)

·         Indifference to matters of the Spirit (e.g. how God is working to bring people to salvation)

·         Careless about things eternal - preoccupied with current priorities and pursuits

·         Lethargic in my service to the Lord and "going through motion" in church

·         Apathetic about my own spiritual well-being (e.g. my body as temple of the Holy Spirit; bearing the fruit of the Spirit)

> Pair up and share the results of your self-evaluation.

> Choose 1 area that you really desire to work on and commit to pray for each other in the coming month.

3.         PRAY

Please refer to the PMC Mobile App, “MyPMC”, for our weekly prayer guide.  [Click on “PRAY”, then “Let’s Pray”]

4.         GOING DEEPER

“Live to please the Lord” can be understood as

“Live to your fullest potential in Christ”.

Reflect and search your heart:

> What is holding you back from living to the fullest, your life in Christ?

> As the Spirit reveals, take time to confess possible hindrances to your faith.

> Share and pray with someone you can trust and exhort each other to “live, as if, in the presence of witnesses”!
