Why PMC is involved in missions?

Every year when it comes time to start planning and thinking about Missions, I am met with questions from people like, “Is it really necessary?” It’s a valid question when you consider the needs in our own city and congregations and how much we spend on Missions.

Yes, there is need all around and yes, it is really necessary to send people on missions.

"People who don't believe in missions have not read the New Testament.
Right from the beginning Jesus said the field is the world.
The early church took Him at His word and went East, West, North and South."
– J. Howard Edington

We are blessed to be a blessings to other people, in particular to unreached people groups where there are no viable church to share  about God’s love and His redemption plan.

  • The Great Commission is for every believer.

  • All Christians should be meaningfully involved in the MISSION of GOD

Where is PMC involved in missions?

We have missionaries in Thailand and Myanmar, as well as partnerships with the local mission agencies in various countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, India and China. We are also supporting local missions for the migrant communities.

What can I do help in missions? Besides supporting financially mission causes, you can participate in the following:

  • Going on mission trips

  • Sending and caring for missionaries

  • Welcoming / hosting mission workers

  • Mobilizing and providing trainings

If you wish to support missions workers financially or explore how to participate in PMC’s missions fields. please contact the church office or drop a note to Daniel Lim at daniellim@pmc.org.sg

How can I learn more or get equipped for missions?

You can sign up for Kairos Course which provides a good platform to understand the biblical perspective on missions.  You can also contact our church to speak to the staff in-charge of missions.
